We are located in the heart of one of the most historic neighborhoods in America! Many of the finest restaurants, bars, clubs, and shops in New Orleans are located within easy walking distance. Here are just a few favorites:
Flanigans is our neighborhood bar located right across the street.
The gay nightlife hub is located on Bourbon Street between Dumaine & St Ann, here you'll find Lafittes in Exile, Clover Grill, Bourbon Pub/Parade Disco, Oz, & Napoleons Itch.
World famous Pat O'Briens is located just off Royal Street on St Peter Street.
The Frenchman Street nightlife area is a continuation of Decatur St and is located just across Esplanade Avenue.
Cafe DuMonde is home of world famous beignets & cafe au lait.
Just down the block is the CC's Community Coffee House, our local version of Starbucks.
Irenes's Cuisine, which serves the best Italian/New Orleans food in town, is located just across the street at the corner of St Philip & Chartres Streets.
Tujagues Bar & Restaurant is one of the oldest restaurants in New Orleans and the original stand up bar, located on Decatur Street.
Rouses Grocery is located on the corner of Royal & St Peter Streets, this is the only full line grocery in the Quarter.
The Washing Well laundromat is located on Bourbon & Dumaine Streets.
Street parking is only an option for cars with resident parking stickers issued by the City of New Orleans. Meter maids are abundant and pop out of nowhere in the blink of an eye and towing is often and frequent. The closest parking lot is the French Market Parking lot, located 2 blocks away directly behind the French Market. We can obtain discounted monthly parking cards for this lot for residents.
Audubon Aquarium of the Americas is located by the New Orleans River front near the Shops at Canal Place.
Audubon Insectarium is located in the historic U.S. Custom House on Canal Street in downtown New Orleans, Audubon Insectarium will delight you with ‘up close and personal’ live insect encounters.
Jackson Square / St. Louis Cathedral / Cabildo / Presbytere Pontalba buildings. This is the original center square of the city, home of the 3rd oldest Cathedral in the US. The Pontalba Buildings are the first apartment buildings built in the US and the Cabildo and Presbytere house Louisiana State Museum exhibits.
Steamboat Natchez, which offers dinner jazz and harbor cruises, cruises on the Mighty Mississippi River .
The French Market, Farmers Market & Flea Market, home of the oldest "shopping center" in the US, is located along the riverfront.
Around the corner on Royal Street is RabDab for great gifts, mens clothing and fun stuff. Continue down Royal Street for more great shops, art & food.
The Shops at Canal Place is located at the foot of Canal and Decatur Streets.
Canal Place Cinema IV is located on the 3rd floor of The Shops at Canal Place at the foot of Canal and Decatur Streets.
LePetit Theatre is located in the back of Jackson Square. LePetit Theatre is the oldest community theatre in the US and home of many exquisite productions.
